男,研究员,博士生导师,2007年中科院物理研究所博士,2007-2009年日本京都大学博士后,2009-2011年日本理化学研究所博士后。2011年9月加入物理所,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者,国家重点研发计划项目首席,青年973首席科学家,国家自然科学基金委重点项目、北京市重点专项等负责人。现任磁学国家重点实验室主任、M08课题组长、中国晶体学会理事及极端条件晶体材料专委会委员、中国物理学会磁学专委会及电介质物理专委会委员、中国化学会高压化学专委会委员。荣获北京市自然科学奖一等奖(排名第二)。

超常规条件下磁电多功能新材料的制备、表征、调控与物理
(1) 新型多功能耦合量子材料的制备与物性研究

过去的主要工作及获得的成果:
一直从事磁电多功能材料的高压合成、常压与高压物理性质、结构与物性关系、多场调控下的结构与电子态等研究工作,并突破技术瓶颈发明了国际领先的大体积高压单晶生长方法。利用高压实验技术,获得了三十余种新型过渡金属氧化物功能材料,观察到一系列引人入胜的物理现象,诸如Mott体的绝缘体-金属化相变、金属间电荷转移、磁电多铁性与磁电耦合、磁电拓扑物性、高温磁性半金属与半导体、负热膨胀等等。在Nature、Nat. Commun.、Phys. Rev. Lett.、J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Adv. Mater.、Nano Lett.等期刊上发表学术论文140余篇,包括特邀综述8篇,单篇最高他引300余次。相关工作入选Nature封内推荐论文、被JACS、Adv. Mater.、Chem. Mater.、Inorg. Chem.等选为封面或封二论文、被Phys. Rev. Lett.、NPG Asia Mater.、PRB、APL、APS Physics等选为编辑推荐或研究亮点,被JPCM推荐为年度亮点论文(5%入选率)。在国内外重要会议上做Keynote等特邀报告40余次,在新材料制备与器件设计方面已授权国内外发明专利13项。作为大会秘书合作举办了第26届国际高压科学与技术大会、第6届亚洲高压研讨会等多个国内外会议。

目前的研究课题及展望:
科技突破与社会发展很大程度上取决于先进功能材料的发现与更新。在常规烧结条件下,新材料的研制已变得越来越难。高压作为一种重要的极端条件手段,为寻找特殊性能的功能材料提供了丰富的来源。因此,利用高压高温等超常规合成手段,是目前新材料探索领域内具有重要战略意义的发展方向。我们长期致力于发展超常规的制备条件,以得到基础研究与应用研究并重的新型功能材料。同时,运用多种调控手段研究物质的晶体结构与电子性质,发掘结构-物性关系,以便设计面向国家重大战略需要的新型材料。本人受科技部、基金委、中科院、北京市等项目的支持,正开展这些实验凝聚态物理与材料科学的前沿研究工作。
培养研究生情况:
已出站博士后4名,毕业博士生15名,硕士生9名(含联陪)。课题组实验条件优越,学术氛围浓厚,每年拟招聘硕博连读研究生或博士生3名,博士后1名,欢迎物理、材料或化学专业的毕业生报考。本组将提供优厚待遇及国际交流机会。
